This episode of Seeking with Shari, “Why are You so Sad?” was written as Shari saw a photo of a woman being booked into county jail. Her face was downcast and covered with injuries. Shari, filled with compassion, points out that God did not mean for us to live this way. There is hope, and help all around. It starts with humility and the realization that we need to accept the help of God and his servants.
- II Chronicles 33:12 – After committing evil deeds and receiving God’s judgement, “In his distress Manasseh sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.”
- Hebrews 4:16 – Hebrews 4:16: “Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
